The central feature of Bally Cliff Farm is our stunning 1894 barn that underwent a complete renovation in 2015, and which is now one of the most beautiful, rustic, spacious indoor event locations you can find in the DC area. The Barn can accommodate corporate events as well as elegant, private events. When you couple this incredible space with our expert fine casual catering managed by our top-notch team, you are sure to host an event to remember.

Climate Control makes Bally Cliff’s Barn appropriate for any time of year.
In 2025, Bally Cliff expanded it’s HVAC system to include both heating and air conditioning in the barn’s Field Stone Room on the patio level.
This allows for greater flexibility for your events, including the warmest MidSummer days, the cold Holidays, or early Spring dates when there is a chill in the air.
This update allows your guests to not only enjoy the wide open spaces of the Farm, but also to gather in comfort in our historic Barn in any season.
Do you need an event venue that can handle up to 300 guests?
Bally Cliff is a large property, so during temperate months the grounds are at your disposal. If you need to expand your ‘indoor’ meeting space, we can add tents to extend the capacity. Is the weather forecast for very cold or warm temperatures? No problem. High Point Catering can provide heaters or air conditioning units that make the tents just as comfortable as inside the Barn.

Bally Cliff Farm was the PERFECT venue to hold Richard Montgomery High School’s joint 40th reunion. The Classes of 1980, 1981 and 1982 gathered at Bally Cliff in early September and we had one of the best reunions any class has ever experienced. In fact, most guests felt we should only host joint class reunions from here on out. Jim Clifford was on hand throughout the evening; he made the entire process almost effortless (especially since most of our planning committee were remote and only arrived the day before the reunion). Jim was passionate about guests having a wonderful time; you can see the care that has gone into restoring this historic gem of a property. We would definitely book Bally Cliff Farm again!
Bally Cliff has a gorgeous, restored barn on a working farm overlooking a picturesque pond. It’s a fantastic venue to hold an event. We held a holiday party there last December and a smaller party in the fall. The owner, Jim Clifford, could not have been more helpful & accommodating. High Point Events provided catering, tables, linens & chairs for our Christmas party. Food was delicious and I loved the beautiful vibe of the barn, all decorated and lit up w/ white lights.
