High Point Farm, the outdoor venue of High Point Events, may be an outdoor location, but it’s used for much more than picnics! We host everything from upscale weddings to down-home barbecues, and yes, the aforementioned picnics. Brides especially like the two picturesque gazebos on the property. Company picnics and family days are among our specialties, not only because of the convenient location but also because of the amenities we offer.
The farm consists of more than 150 beautiful green acres, with spectacular views of Sugarloaf Mountain. Although the farm is subdivided into six five-to-eight acre event sites, with landscaping providing privacy for each, they also can be combined to serve up to 10,000 guests. Each site offers ample parking and clean, air-conditioned restroom facilities, as well as redwood pavilions, full electric service, children’s playgrounds, and various athletic activities, like horseshoes, volleyball, basketball and softball.
In recent years, we’ve hosted a number of large public charity events – things like the Germantown Oktoberfest or the annual High Point BBQ Battle. The farm also provides the perfect venues for races like the Dirty Girl Mud Run and the Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Race.
The northwest section of the farm is devoted to what we call The Adventure Sector at High Point. Paintball, GPS geocaching, high and low ropes courses, and a rock wall for climbing are just a few of the activities available in that area for recreation, team building, or leadership development.
High Point Farm is conveniently situated on Route 355 in northern Montgomery County, just three miles north of Germantown, with immediate access to I-270 and to the Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Central Maryland areas.
